Founded in 1997 by Arlen and Elsa Salte in an Edmonton church basement, Break Forth Canada has become the largest church gathering and equipping event in Canada. As many as 6000 guests attend over the course of a weekend—drawn from the breadth of the Christian church. Attendees cross regional, denominational, theological, generational and cultural lines.

Speakers in years past have included:

Louie Giglio, Francis Chan, John Ortberg, Erwin McManus, Philip Yancey, Bob Goff, Bruxy Cavey, Anne Graham Lotz, Bill Hybels, Kay Arthur, Lee Strobel, Danielle Strickland, Gary Thomas, Carlos Whittaker, Gary Chapman, Nick Vujicic, Shaunti Feldhahn, Luis Palau, Ravi Zacharias, Tony Campolo, Josh McDowell, Carey Nieuwhof and Joshua Harris.

Worship artists/concerts in years past have included:

Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Bethel Music, Michael W. Smith, Third Day, Kari Jobe, Newsboys, Amy Grant, Anthony Evans, Steve Bell, Paul Baloche and Matt Maher.

In May of 2015, the Saltes gifted the conference ministry to Power to Change (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ Canada). In 2017, the name was changed to Break Forth One to reflect the vision for the conference: ‘to unify, serve, equip and empower the church in Canada to live out the mission of Jesus’.
