350 Members. One Team.

A big THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers who served at Break Forth One 2018!

Break Forth One would not be possible without the 350 volunteers who sacrificed their time to serve for three days.  This year, the volunteer team at Break Forth One went by the name The One Team. That’s to underscore that all of us - volunteers, leaders, staff - are on the same team.  The One Team set the tone for the event by creating an atmosphere of unity.

The volunteers showed up with enthusiastic hearts ready to jump in wherever needed!  From scanning badges to greeting guests, ensuring safety to selling resources, setting up to taking down and so much more we cannot thank you enough! The One Team went above and beyond to make the weekend a huge success.

A few stories from One Team members:

Met some wonderful people of all ages with my team. We shared stories of humour, encouragement and of spiritual growth.”
I loved being able to volunteer at Break Forth One this year and it was my first time. I believe God gave me a great opportunity to see more of who he is through this conference and it was so incredibly amazing to see. I came to the conference not really expecting anything but I definitely left with EVERYTHING that I needed. I loved the leaders, I loved meeting new people and being in an atmosphere that not only was so welcoming but also embodied God's love and grace.”
...I thoroughly enjoyed being a greeter and standing at the bottom of the main stairs welcoming attendees! It's all about people!”
My parents were so blessed to have been able to volunteer this year. Although they don't speak English very well, they understood most and had a heart to serve. After each night they shared stories with me about the goings-on of the day, who they helped, and what they said. They loved being a part of Break Forth One, and not just as a paid visitor. Thank you for making their Break Forth experience a memorable and blessed one!”
Even though I was volunteering, I felt very refreshed and energized to be what Jesus wants me to be! The atmosphere was strong that we are ONE, meeting people from other faiths and we were all talking about the content of the weekend.”

Break Forth One 2018 Recap

Break Forth One 2018 was a wonderfully blessed weekend!

“I felt so encouraged… praising our ONE God with ONE voice”
“The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart over and over in each class and assembly”
“I am renewed and ready to continue my journey with Jesus with tools in hand and a song of praise in my heart.”

That’s how attendees are describing their experience at Break Forth One 2018. Hundreds of others have shared how they were encouraged, refreshed and called into deeper places in their walk with Jesus. We heard some wonderful stories!

“I knew that I was burned out and was angry at God, hurt by people in Ministry and exhausted. I was at a crossroads and knew I needed a change of heart and a touch from God. When Hillsong sang, with hands raised (I haven't been able to authentically worship in awhile) I worshipped and cried out to God. I felt that Albert Tate was speaking directly to me when he said that there may be someone who was ready to give up on God, marriage and ministry. THAT WAS ME! That set the tone for my broken heart to receive a fresh word from each speaker and presenter and I am so happy to say that I am renewed and ready to continue my journey with Jesus with tools in hand and a song of praise in my heart.”

And one young person told us:

“I became a Christian and actually knew what it meant!”

It was an amazing weekend. Thanks be to God for pouring out His Spirit over the gathered Canadian church.

Day Three / One Mission

Today was the last day of #BFONE18... and what better way to end it than with Mark Clark, Pastor of Village Church. After a full morning of classes, we gathered together one last time for the closing assembly...

One Mission

Mark reminded us that as a church we have to be...

honest. authentic. raw.

We left challenged to allow God to use us - mess and all - to reach out with His grace...

"God will use you not because of you but in spite of you"

If you've been to a Break Forth One Conference before, by this time you would have understood what it's like to have drunk from a fire hose. But now comes the hard work.

As we all head back to our respective homes across the nation, let's reflect on what God has spoken to us this past weekend... let's see how we can continue to stand united throughout the year and take what we've learned and apply it to our churches, our communities and our country.

Next year when we gather back together, we hope to hear stories of how God has used this weekend to impact your story and the stories of those around you. Until then, let's continue to worship our One God, with One Voice, as One Church, with One Mission.

Day Two / One Voice. One Church.

One Voice

Yesterday we kicked off the day with the voices of Ben Cantelon, Margaret FeinbergBob Stromberg, and Olive from Compassion Canada. Ben Cantelon led us in lifting up our voices, as one massive choir, to worship our one God. Margaret shared with us about her journey with cancer and showed us that it is possible to #fightbackwithjoy, despite our circumstances... and that it is a weapon that she still uses today on a daily basis. The Main Assembly ended with a powerful moment, where together with one voice, we lifted our hearts and our hands to pray for Margaret and for complete healing from cancer.

One Church

Our goal is simple: to gather together and stand united as one church.... and that's exactly what we did last night.

After a full day of classes, Hillsong Worship led us in powerful songs that moved us, encouraged us and helped us draw closer to the Father. It was a powerful moment, realizing that the room was filled with believers from all denominations, ages, cultures and nations - the furthest being Austrailia!

Levi Lusko brought the word and left us with these 4 points:

  1. You are destined for impact.
  2. Your pain makes you powerful.
  3. Your desire can keep you from your destiny.
  4. You'll see more of what you stare at.

Sometimes we need moments like this... moments where we can get a little glimpse of heaven // being surrounded by brothers and sisters from all walks of life... in the presence of our one true Father.
